Reciprocal yacht club guests

Welcome to Reciprocal Yacht Club Visitors

The American Legion Yacht Club (ALYC) and the American Legion Newport Harbor Post 291 are excited to welcome yacht club members from around the world. Please follow the guidelines below:

• Eligible Clubs: The yacht club must be registered with one of the following organizations: US Sailing Association (USSA), Southern California Yachting Association (SCYA), Yachting Clubs of America, or the Register of World Yacht Clubs.
  
• Reservations: Space is limited, so please make a reservation in advance (Click on the red box below "Reciprocity Reservations").
• Walk-ins: Only allowed if there is available space.
• Duration: Visitors are welcome for a maximum of 4 hours within a 30-day period.
• Guests: Reciprocal members can bring up to three (3) guests.
• Identification: Present your current yacht club membership card and a valid government-issued ID to ALYC or Post 291 staff.
• Registration: Each reciprocal member and guest must sign a registration form.
• Name Badges: Visitors should wear their yacht club’s name badge, if one is issued.

Reservation necessary 

You may make a reservation up to 30 days in advance. When you arrive, please sign in and show your current club membership card, your PRINTED email reservation and wear your name badge.

Guest Dock Policy:  For visiting yachtsman outside of Newport Harbor, the American Legion Yacht Club will cover up to two nights on our guest dock, space permitting.   Fees for subsequent nights stays will be the responsibility of the skipper.  The policy applies to visiting reciprocals outside Newport Harbor only.  For more details, click here to read our Guest Dock Policy.

ALYC members are permitted to reserve and use the guest dock with the same marina policy and expenses as any other Post member.  Expense is not paid by the club.
