As an adventurer Tony has traveled the length of Africa by truck, explored the North Pole aboard a Nuclear Russian Ice Breaker, and voyaged over 75,000 nautical miles in his personal 65 foot Fleming Yacht “Venture”. As a designer, Tony started his career with the De Havilland Aircraft Company, famous for the float plane “The Beaver”. Tony then traveled to Hong Kong to become one of the lead engineers for one of the most respected names in yachting “Grand Banks”. From there, Tony embarked on his most ambitious project, to design, build and create his own Yacht Company “Fleming Yachts”. As a Film Maker Tony has invited hundreds of thousands of adventure seekers to voyage with him along the wild coasts of Alaska, follow him along the trail of Luis and Clark up the mighty Columbia River, explore the frigid waters of Iceland and follow him along side the path of Charles Darwin through the seas of the Galapagos Islands. Tony’s story is just starting, Fleming Yachts continues to innovate beyond its 400 boat legacy with their newest yacht, the 85 foot Fleming. At 88, Tony continues to explore and inspire a new generation of adventure seekers through his lust for wild places and his ability to share his exploits through his films.
