As part of this proud veterans organization, we welcome all veterans and their extended families, who are current members of an American Legion Post family. Note: Members of Post 1000 are not eligible to join the ALYC. Yes. The American Legion Yacht Club has a formal application process for all prospective members. This includes evaluation by the membership Committee and a formal vote by the Board of Directors at their monthly meeting. To request an application and/or additional information, you must first submit proof of eligibility and proof of being a current member of an American Legion unit. Yes. You may mail a photocopy of your current membership card to: American Legion Yacht ClubAttn: Membership 215 15th Street Newport Beach, CA 92663 This will delay your access to the application form. The application form is 100% online and needs to be submitted electronically via our website. Once your eligibility is verified you will be contacted directly by a member of our membership committee. You will receive details about the membership process, including application fees, annual membership dues, and volunteer obligations. Any questions you have about membership will be answered. Verification times may vary depending on volume, but submissions are reviewed as promptly as possible. Normally within a few days.
