Our February General Membership meeting will showcase guest speakers focusing on “Sailing Opportunities for Non-Boat Owners”.  The next meeting is coming up on February 11 at 6:30PM via Zoom.  Click here to register.  Zoom information will be sent out the day before the event and then again on the day of the event.

Our Club Crew (formally SeaGals) will begin their meeting at 6:00PM via the same Zoom connection, so if you have an interest in knowing what Club Crew is about or you have any interest in volunteering to help us with an upcoming event, you should join early.  

Commodore Bruce Batcheller and other Officers and Directors of your ALYC will also provide our tentative plans for transitioning out of Covid-19 restrictions to once again gathering in person.  As our community starts to open up, your Board of Directors are working to make the transition as safe and water friendly as practical.

Once normal business concludes, we will launch into the presentation portion of our meeting.

Sailing Opportunities for Non-Boat Owners

Three Newport Harbor organizations will present a variety of sailing opportunities and resources for Non-Boat Owners.  These three organizations are supporters of ALYC and have a successful history with our organization.  Ten-minute presentations will be made by each organization to provide important information to our members.  The organizations are:

• Newport Beach Marina Park – Sailing Center (Training and Small Boat Rentals)
  
• OASIS Sailing Club - (Training & Catalina 34’ Harbor Sailing)
  
• Marina Sailing Newport Beach - (Training & multiple day/location Boat Charters)
  

The board will also field any questions from our members during the meeting.
