Announcing the 2021 Cruise to Two Harbors / Emerald Bay

Please join your friends on our fall cruise to Catalina! We have the Corsair Cove in Emerald bay reserved for our club, so it will be a great opportunity to enjoy the best Catalina has to offer.  

This cove offers moorings, and our own private beach with restrooms, hot showers,  electricity, grills, and picnic area.  We have the cove reserved for Friday Sept. 10 through Sunday Sept. 12 midday.

The Boy Scouts should have rentals for some of their facilities and water toys.  If you would like to rent a cabin, or a kayak or other water toy, please contact Larry Furiani by email at fleetcaptain@alyc.com or phone (714) 920-8083.  

Cost is $10 per vessel (or registered group if coming by ferry).  The cost will help offset firewood, fuel, and supplies for the weekend.

Here’s the agenda for the weekend:

Friday Sept. 10

• Depart local ports for Two Harbors, Emerald Bay, Secure and pay the Harbor Department for your mooring assignment or select an anchorage near Indian Rock.

• 4pm - Raft-up behind Valor
• 6pm - Dinner and drinks on your own or connect with other ALYC members at the Cove.  We will fire up the grill  6pm in Corsair Cove for those that want to grill ashore.  Bring some wine to share, we plan on doing some wine tasting!
  

Saturday Sept. 11

• Breakfast and lunch on your own
  
• Corsair beach area open for our club to hang out and enjoy at your leisure - bring beach games!
  
• Morning scuba dive is in the planning stages
• 4:00pm - Raft-up behind Valor
• 6:00pm - Beach BBQ
  
• ALYC will provide grilling supplies
  
• Members and guests bring your own food to grill and maybe something to share
  
• Due to changing COVID restrictions, we will send out any COVID guidelines before the event.  Please plan to have a mask with you.
  

Sunday Sept. 12

• Corsair beach area available to us till 12:00 noon
  
• Coordinate with members for other water or land activities
  
• Depart for home ports on your schedule
  

Amenities Available to Rent

We are currently working with the Boy Scouts to determine what amenities will be available for rent. We will post details as we have them.
