2021 Invitation and Overview - "The Good Old Days"

Your ALYC Officers and Directors cordially invite you to join in the ceremonies of our 55th Opening Day on Saturday, August 21, 2021.  Ceremonies will be held at Newport Harbor Post 291 of the American Legion, with a theme that we are back to "The Good Old Days."

Schedule of Activities:

• 2:00PM  - Registration and Reception (complimentary drinks and hors d'oeuvres) 
  
• 4:00PM  - Opening Day Ceremonies
• 5:30PM  - Performance by The Swing Kittens
• 6:30PM  - Dinner
• 7:00PM - 10:00pm  -  Dancing and No Host Bar

Opening Day is always an exciting, fun-filled event at the American Legion, and it's one of the highlights of our yachting season.  We expect many visitors from other yacht clubs and local dignitaries to share in our celebration.  Please join us for an epic day!

Dress code is summer white dress for yacht club officers, and Summer Smart Casual for all others.  Entertainment package includes a performance by the legendary Swing Dolls trio, dinner, and dancing to the M Street Band.

Reception Menu:  Smoked Salmon & Creamy Artichoke Bruschetta, Deviled Eggs

Strawberry Swizzle Champagne Punch and Rum Runner Cocktail

Dinner menu: Caesar salad, Beef Stroganoff and Spiced Glazed Ham, Au Gratin Potatoes, Three-Bean Salad, Assorted Desserts. Lemonade, Iced Tea, Coffee, and No Host Bar.
