Christmas Parade Aboard Valor - Saturday

Members are Welcome to Participate in the Newport Harbor Christmas Boat Parade Aboard Valor:

Your ALYC has decorated Valor and is entering the Boat Parade.  Fifteen members and/or their family members are welcome to board the Valor at the Post Guest Dock, then participate in the Newport Harbor Boat Parade for over three hours, and return to the Post Guest Dock.

 

Parade Date:  December 18, 2021 (Saturday)

 

Schedule:

5:00 pm – Board the Valor at Post 291 Guest Dock

5:30 pm – Depart Guest dock for Parade Staging Area

6:30 pm – Parade Begins

9:00 pm – Parade Ends

9:30 pm – Return to Guest Dock

Passengers:   

Adult members – No children under 14 years old

Maximum 15 passengers plus crew each day

 

Food and Beverage:

Passengers will need to bring their own food and anything they wish to drink.

Picnic style food.  No cooking aboard the Valor on this outing.

Bottled water and ice chests will be provided by the Club.

Clothing:

Please only "boat" appropriate shoes.  Soft soled non-marking shoes.  No black hard soled shoes. 

This is a "winter" event.  Please dress appropriately for the cold and the possibility of fog or rain.  Passengers are active greeters, wavers, and bell ringers during the parade.  Enjoy the on-deck opportunities to wish other boaters and spectators a joyful holiday season.

All departure times, return times, and other safety issues applicable to passengers are the sole discretion of the Valor skipper.  The event may be modified or cancelled at any time by the Valor skipper for the safety of the passengers and crew.
